World Cancer Day Events

A Cancer Walk was held in collaboration with ADK Hospital and Indian high commission to increase general awareness about cancer.

A cervical cancer screening program was held at K. Villingilli during which 137 people were screened. An awareness session was also held along with it.

A cervical cancer screening program was also held at Gdh.Thinadhoo with ADK and Indian High Commission. 160 people were screened and given information.

In addition to this awareness sessions were conducted in Gn. Fuvahmulak from February 13-14 with a total participation of 342 people.


World Health Day

Participated with a stall in the World Health Day Children’s evening organized by the Ministry of Health.


Dhiraagu Road Race 2015

Members of Cancer society ran in the Dhiraagu road race 2015 to raise money for the society. In addition to that Dhiraagu donated Rf30,000 to us as money raised by nomination from runners who participated.


Breast Cancer screening Program - HA and HDH Atoll

Breast Cancer screening Programs done by Doctors and Nurses from the established Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore at Ha and Hdh from 15-17 April 2015

168 people from Ha. Dhiddhoo and 435 people from Hdh. Kulhudhuffushi were screened.


Breast Cancer screening Program - Baa Atoll

Breast Cancer screening Programs done by Doctors and Nurses from the established Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore at B Atoll from 26-28 October 2015.

516 people were screened and given awareness by our trained facilitators.

This screening program was part of our breast cancer awareness month activities. It was done with financial aid from Maldives Islamic Bank.


Facilitators Training Program

Two healthcare workers from each atoll were invited to participate in this Training program held from May 30-31 at the Salt café conference room. A total of 39 people were trained by our team of 4 doctors and 2 nurses. The facilitators training program is supported by generous financial aid from Alifulhu Thu’thu foundation. Follow up monitoring of the trained facilitators will be continued in 2016.
